The Salisbury Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is pleased to host its annual Goldman Scholars Picnic, a celebratory gathering honoring the academic achievements, leadership, and promise of our Goldman Scholars. This annual tradition provides an opportunity for scholars, families, and AAUW members to come together in a welcoming and supportive setting, and reflects AAUW Salisbury’s commitment to encouraging educational excellence and supporting students as they pursue their academic and professional goals. Through fellowship, recognition, and shared celebration, the Goldman Scholars Gathering affirms the importance of community, mentorship, and continued investment in the success of young scholars.

To commemorate our 1912 establishment in the state of North Carolina, the conference registration fee of

Each year our Branch is committed to expanding leadership opportunities for college women enrolled in institutions of higher learning across Rowan County. In support of this mission, AAUW Salisbury seeks to sponsor and support students’ participation in the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) at the University of Maryland, College Park, in May 2026. Support our long-standing commitment to equity, education, and leadership development by purchasing a ticket of at least $25 to the No Spring Fling by March 31, 2026.

AAUW Salisbury, in collaboration with Livingstone College, presents a vital presentation by the North Carolina Department of Justice on youth vaping. The program addresses the risks associated with e-cigarettes and empowers the community to protect youth, particularly young girls from harmful products.

The Salisbury Branch of AAUW is happy to partner with Livingstone College to host a political candidate forum. This collaboration helps empower and educate students and community members on important issues while fostering civic engagement. The forum provides a nonpartisan platform for candidates to address key topics, with an emphasis on education and healthcare.
