February 2025: Black HERstory
Monday, February 10, 2025 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Rowan Public Library’s Stanback room, audience members will explore history, geography, art, culture, and biographical sketches of notable African American women on US Stamps with Dr. Mary Love of Hood Theological Seminary. STAMPED includes interactive engagement and more!
March 2025: International Women’s Day
Friday, March 21st from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. All White Party with A Purpose at Livingstone College School of Hospitality Management. Tickets are $30 each or $50 for any couple. Save-the-Date! Details are coming soon.

Monday, May 12, 2025 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Rowan Public Library, Stanback Room. The Helen S. Goldman Memorial scholarship awards high school young women entering college. Scholarships through application are provided to selected local women as a tribute to former AAUW leader Helen S. Goldman. The AAUW-Salisbury branch has a long tradition of hosting a fellowship event to engage with and honor Goldman scholarship recipients. Join us to meet this year’s impressive scholars!

Come and learn HERstory to witness the power of organic voices and personal narratives. This event will take place at Rowan Public Library, Stanback room.

JUNE 2024: Full STEM Ahead
Monday, June 10, 2024 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. AAUW’s strategic plan includes goals of championing equal access in education, particularly STEM, and ensuring education at every level is free from sex and gender discrimination. Join us at RPL for an evening focused on these issues, including an introduction to local and statewide STEM initiatives.
